Biography
Seydakhmet Berdikulov was born on May 9, 1933 in the village of Karakastek, Zhambyl district, Almaty region [1] . In 1956 he graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of Kazakh State University. Kirov [2] . In 1955-1970, the editor of the newspaper "Kazakhstan Pioneer" (now " Ulan "). In 1970-1986, the editor of the newspaper Leninshil Zhas (now Zhas Alash ). In 1986-1992 - Director of the Zhalyn Publishing House. In 1992-1994 - Director of the publishing house "Balausa" [1] .
Creativity
He is the author of collections of short stories and novels “Sol Oramal Zhoalmaydy” (“The Handkerchief is durable”, 1965), “Zhurek ұyyқtaudy bіlmeydі” (“It is not given to the heart to sleep”, 1900), “Nar tәuekel” (“Let us take a chance, brother”, 1967), “Egeuli Nayza” (“Sharp Blade”, 1969), “Zhұmyr zherde teңbіl dop” (“Round ball on sloping ground”, 1968), “84 zhyldy tededessіz 16 konі” (“16 incomparable days 84 years”, 1982), “Aspannan shұғa zhauғan kүn” (“Cornucopia”, 1975), “Ushinsh porch” (“Entrance number 3”, 1980), “Perdesiz kөңil” (“With all my heart”, 1983), “Arbakan mannir bir sigyr” ( "Enchanted but by his own will", 1987) [1] .
Berdikulov is the first representative of the Federation of Sports Journalists of Kazakhstan. The main themes of Berdikulov's work are youth life, sports. A number of Berdikulov's works have been translated into the languages of the peoples of the CIS and foreign countries. Berdikulov translated the works of C. Aitmatov , E. Hemingway , J. London , A. Haley , N. Mailer into Kazakh language [1] .
The literary critic Kuanyshbai Kurmangali recalled: “ He wrote in a special way, his language and approach to covering the topic were noticeably different from others. And still, as he wrote about sports, no one can write. Because he used the literary Kazakh word very softly and very conveniently in covering materials on a sports theme ” [3] .
Rewards
He was awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor [1] , medals, diplomas of the Supreme Council of the Kazakh SSR.
Memory
Since 1994, Kazakhstani journalists have been awarded the Seydakhmet Berdikulov State Prize for the best work on a sports theme [3] . Since 1997, a mini-soccer tournament has been held in Alma-Ata , dedicated to the memory of Seydakhmet Berdikulov. His name is about one of the streets of the Alatau district of Alma-Ata (formerly International, the village of Zarya Vostok) [2] .
