Rolleron is a type of aileron used in rockets and is located at the rear end of each steering wheel. Used for passive stabilization against rotation. [1] It is a metal wheel with notches in a circle directed against the air flow. During the flight, they will rotate at a considerable speed and act like gyroscopes . Any rotation of the rocket along the main axis will be extinguished by the rollers: the gyroscopic precession forces the roller to move in the opposite direction to the rotation. [2]

Rollerons were first used in the AIM-9 Sidewinder missile .
