Biography

The son of a musician, composer, conductor, a prominent representative of the Mannheim School of Music Christian Cannabich .

In 1778, he moved to Munich with his parents.

From 1796 he worked as a theater conductor in Frankfurt . In 1798 he was appointed chief accompanist of the Royal Musical Theater in Munich.

The author of opera series, violin concerts, symphonies and other works in the classical style.

In particular, in 1801 he wrote music for the tragicomic opera Axur, re d'Ormus for Antonio Salieri's performance.
