Biography
His father, a Moscow merchant , was one of the founders of the Moscow Practical Commercial Academy and gave his son an excellent upbringing. After spending a short time at a commercial academy, Kozlov entered Moscow University , after which he went to serve in St. Petersburg. Here, in 1814, he met with the founder of the Russian Disabled , P. P. Pesarovius , and took part in translations and reviews of the newspaper. He died in 1825 in St. Petersburg from consumption .
In addition to translations, Kozlov placed poems in the Bulletin of Europe (1814) and articles of various kinds in the News of Literature (1822-1825) and in the Northern Bee, at its foundation. His letters to M. N. Makarov were placed in the Ladies' Journal (1829, part 27).
