Biography and Creativity
He studied law in Mexico City , and later worked in the diplomatic service in London and Brussels . He turned to filmmaking under the influence of Andrei Tarkovsky films. With the very first film “ Japan ” ( 2002 ) became a member of the Cannes Film Festival and won the Golden Camera prize there. The two subsequent films participated in the main program of the Cannes Film Festival in 2005 and 2007 , and the film “ Silent Light ” in 2007 was awarded the jury prize there.
The drama “ After Darkness of Light ” (2012) brought Reigadas the prize for the best directorial work of the 65th Cannes Film Festival .
It also acts as a film producer.
