Biography
Born in Rybinsk, Yaroslavl province .
The first officer rank was received in November 1807. In 1839 he was awarded the Order of St. Anne of the 2nd degree; in 1846, the imperial crown was granted to this order.
Major General since November 26, 1852. He was appointed commander of the Kronstadt artillery garrison. In 1850 he was awarded the Order of St. Vladimir of the 3rd degree, in 1854 - the Order of St. Stanislav of the 1st degree, in 1857 - the Order of St. Anna of the 1st degree and the distinction for 45 years of immaculate service.
He retired at the end of 1861 with the rank of lieutenant general .
He was buried in the village of Pokrovsky, Rybinsk district, Yaroslavl province [1] .
Family
He was married twice.
The first wife of Varavara Afanasyevna, nee Obrucheva (1793-1826). Their kids:
- Nicholas (1816 - until 1823).
- Athanasius (1818-1899).
- Elena (1820-1864).
- Anna (born 1820), Nicholas (born 1823) and Alexandra (born 1826) died in infancy.
Second wife Emilia Karlovna, nee von Schantz. Children:
- Fedor (1831 - c. 1898) - was a teacher of the Page Corps, who opened a school in St. Petersburg in 1869 that grew up in a gymnasium and Gurevich's real school .
- Elizabeth (1834-1842).
- Alexander (1844 - after 1880).
