Biography

Peter Schreider was born on April 17, 1770; came from the Livonian noble family.

As a boy, he was recorded as a sergeant in the Bombardir Regiment ; on April 5, 1785 he was transferred to the Semenovsky Life Guards Regiment as a lieutenant .

On April 21, 1787 , Schreider was enlisted as a lieutenant in the 4th battalion of the Siberian Jäger Corps with which he took part in the Russian-Turkish War of 1787-1791. and the Polish events of 1794 , for which he was marked by epaulettes of the captain and second major , and on October 21, 1795 he was transferred to the Simbirsk Dragoon Regiment as Prime Major . On October 1, 1800, Schrader was awarded the rank of colonel .

For courage shown during the Fourth Coalition War, he was awarded the Order of St. Vladimir of the 4th degree with a bow (04/26/1807), a gold sword (12/9/18807) and the Prussian Order of Pour le Mérite (1807).

On November 26, 1810, he was awarded the Order of St. George of the 4th class (No. 2208 according to the cavalier list of Grigorovich - Stepanov) for immaculate service.

After Napoleon's invasion of the Russian Empire, he took part in a number of battles of the Patriotic War of 1812 and was promoted to major general on October 31, 1812 , and was awarded the Order of St. Vladimir of the 3rd degree.

On March 28, 1813 , Schreider was appointed military commander of Memel .

In 1822 , Peter Petrovich Schreider retired for health reasons, lived in Derpt, where he died on January 12, 1824.
