(738) Alagasta ( lat.Alagasta ) - an asteroid of the main belt , which belongs to the spectral class C. It was discovered on January 7, 1913 by the German astronomer Franz Kaiser at the Heidelberg Observatory and named after the first German name (Alagastesheim; German: Alagastesheim ) of the city of Gau-Algesheim , in which Kaiser was born [1] .
