Bazyl Shamukhanovich Zhakupov ( kaz. Bazyl Shamkanuly Zhakypov ; January 5, 1965, Kiiminsky district of the Turgai oblast of the Kazakh SSR) is the mayor of the city of Kostanay . Member of the party "Nur Otan" since 2004.

Biography
Bazyl Zhakupov was born on January 5, 1965 in the village of Tersakan, Zhaksy district, now in the Akmola region . He began his career in 1982 as an assistant to a shepherd , a cattleman of the state farm "Voskhod" of the Kiiminsky district of the Turgai region . Then, in 1983-1985, he served as a conscript in the army, and in 1985-1991 he studied at the Tselinograd Agricultural Institute with a degree in agronomy scientist [1] [2] .
Since 1991, he began to work as an agricultural registrar, later as a foreman of a field crop brigade and chief agronomist of the Voskhod state farm in the Kiyminsky district of the Turgai region. In 1996, Zhakupov was appointed director of the Tersakan state farm in the Kiimin district of the Turgai region. Since 1998 - Executive Director of the Golden Niva Partnership in the village of Kiyma, Zhaksynsky District, Akmola Region. Since 2000 - Director of the Association “Quantum” (Turgenevka village, Zhitikarinsky district, Kostanay region) [1] [2] .
Since 2004, Bazyl transferred to the civil service. The first place of his work was "Karabalyk district administration of agriculture and food" (in the village Karabalyk Kostanay region ), where he served as chief. In the same year, he went to work as deputy akim of the Karabalyk district of the Kostanay region, at this place in 2005 he was awarded the medal "10 years of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan" and was awarded for organizing an agricultural census, and also received a second degree, graduating from the Almaty Academy of Economics and statistics on the specialty "financier" in 2006 [1] [2] .
Since 2008 - Deputy Mayor of Kostanay. Since February 2009 - akim of Mendykarinsky district . In February 2012 he was appointed deputy akim of Kostanay region for agriculture. He worked in this position before being appointed Akim of Kostanay in September 2015 [1] [2] .
Personal life
Bazyl speaks Russian and Kazakh. Married to Jakupova Zhumabike Orynbaevne born in 1962, has five children: Shamuhanov Aslan Bazylovich born in 1992, Isabekova Madina Bazylovna born in 1983, Zhakupova Botagoz Bazylovna born in 1990, Shamuhanova Sabina Bazylovna and Shamuhanov Zhaslan Bazylovich - Both born in 2000 [3] .
From 2008 - deputy mayor of Kostanay , from February 2009 - akim of Mendykarinsky district , from February 2012 - deputy akim of Kostanay region [1] [2] .
