Biography
He graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics (1953) and the graduate school (1956) of Moscow State University . Subsequently, he worked at the Department of Computational Mathematics of the Moscow State University, at the Institute of Applied Mathematics of the USSR Academy of Sciences , and taught at the Moscow Engineering and Economics Institute .
In 1963, KA Bagrinovsky moved to the Novosibirsk Academgorodok , where he continued his teaching activities at the Novosibirsk State University , and his research work at the Institute of Economics and Production Organization of the Siberian Branch of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR .
From 1963 to 1975 he taught at the departments of political economy, mathematical analysis, the application of mathematical methods in economics and planning of the economics department of the NSU.
In 1975 he returned to Moscow, where until the end of his life he worked at CEMI RAS , heading the laboratory of simulation modeling of the interaction of economic objects.
He was also a professor at the Department of Economic and Mathematical Modeling of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia , a member of dissertation councils , a full member of the International Academy of Organizational Sciences, a member of the editorial board of Applied Informatics journal.
He prepared more than 50 doctors and candidates of science, published more than 280 scientific works, including 25 monographs . Main research areas: simulation modeling of economic systems; industry and enterprise planning; operations research; equivalence of interbranch exchange; technological structure of the economy; mechanisms for resource conservation, pricing, innovation development.
He was awarded the medal "For Valiant Labor in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the birth of V. I. Lenin", the Order "Badge of Honor" (1975). Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation (1999), laureate of the prize of the International Scientific Foundation for Economic Research Academician N. P. Fedorenko "For outstanding contribution to the development of economic science in Russia" (2004).
