Wu Jiho ( born Woo Jiho , cor. 우지 호 ; September 14, 1992 , Seoul ), better known by his pseudonym Zico ( born Zico , cor. 지코 ) [2] , a South Korean singer and music producer, was a member of the boy band Block B , where he held the position of the leader of the group, the main rapper and composer, until 2018. Since the end of 2018, he has been engaged in a solo career, having received the approval of the remaining members of the group.

Biography
Wu Chiho was born on September 14, 1992 in Seoul [2] . Chiho is the youngest of two sons. His elder brother Wu Taeung (birth name is Wu Zhiski) is a solo artist, until 2015 he was the leader of the k-pop group SPEED.
He graduated from Seoul High School of Music with a degree in vocal skills.
Studied in Canada, China and Japan [3] .
In school, he became interested in rap and began performing under the pseudonym Naxo [4] . During his studies in Japan, he chose the current pseudonym, consisting of the first syllable of his name and a typical Japanese diminutive ending.
In 2009, Zico auditioned for producer Cho PD, who invited him to New Stardom Entertainment under the direction of Brand New Production.
On November 19, 2010, the solo album-mixtape “ZICO on the Block” was released, which was recorded with the participation of various artists of the music industry. The album received approval and recognition among fans of Korean hip-hop [5] .
In 2011, Zico made his debut as part of the Block B group, consisting of seven people. In the group, he takes the position of leader, chief rapper, songwriter and producer [2] [6] .
In addition to activities in the group, he took part in recording tracks in duets for albums for many artists.

Musical creativity
Zico's actual solo debut took place on November 19, 2010 with the mixtape “ZICO on the Block”
Block B debuted in 2011 under the label Brand New Stardom Entertainment (2011–2013), Seven Seasons (summer 2013 – present) [2] .
November 7, 2014 released the first official solo single “Tough Cookie” together with rapper Don Mills [7] .
On February 13, 2015, the single “Well Done” was released together with rapper Ja Mezz. In the same year, Zico received a bachelor's degree from the Don Institute of Arts and Communications [8] .
In May 2015, it became known that Zico would appear on Show Me The Money 4 as part of a producer team along with rapper Paloalto. Zico was the first judge in the history of the show to be a member of a pop group.
In November 2015, Zico released his first solo mini-album with the title track "Eureka".
He took part in Show Me The Money 6 as a producer.
In June 2017 he released his second solo album "Television".
