Rafael Guillermo Eduardo Maitimo ( Dutch Raphael Guillermo Eduardo Maitimo ; born March 17, 1984 ) is an Indonesian footballer of Dutch descent, midfielder Arema Kronos and Indonesia .

Career
Rafael was born in the capital of South Holland - Rotterdam , his parents were of Minangkabau origin .
Rafael Maitimo in his early school years appears in the Feyenoord football club system. A good class of the game led to the fact that Rafael regularly receives a call in the youth teams of different age categories. In 2000, he was involved in the Netherlands national team (under 17 years old), in which Maitimo played 5 games.
Since 2006, Rafael begins to train with the Feyenoord main team, but fierce competition did not allow Maitimo to become a main player: only 18 games in 3 seasons did not allow to increase sportsmanship. This is less than in the 2004/05 season, Rafael spent in the “ Dordrecht ”. As a result, Raphael did not become a player in the youth and national team.
In 2009, Rafael went to Beijing , where he became a player at Beijing University of Technology .
Since 2010, playing in the Super League of Indonesia . He played in the clubs " Bali Devata ", " Mitra Kukar ", " Sriuijaya ", " Persia ".
In 2016, he moved to Arema Kronos FC from Malang .
Indonesia Career
In 2012, he agreed to a change of sports citizenship. Realizing that it was practically impossible to establish himself in the Netherlands , Rafael was able to become a player in the Indonesia national team . The debut took place at the ASEAN Championship . Already in the first game, Maitimo scored a goal into the Lao goal.
One of the most important games for Raphael is a friendly match, held on June 7, 2013. The rivals of the Indonesians were the Dutch . The Europeans won 3-0.
Education
Graduated from Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences. Bachelor of Economics with a degree in Sports Marketing and Management.
