Janusiems ( Latvian. Jāņuciems ) is a town in the Daugavpils region of Latvia . It is part of the Demensky parish . Located on the shores of Lake Yanovka and the river Yanovka. The distance to the city of Daugavpils is about 15 km [1] . According to data for 2015, 62 people lived in the settlement [2] .

History
In Soviet times, the town was the center of the village council of Janučiemskoy Daugavpils district . The collective farm “Beacon of Communism” was located in the village [1] .
