Biography
Born in the family of the mathematics teacher Savely Osipovich Voitinsky and Wilhelmina Lazarevna Berman. The granddaughter of the publisher and editor of the weekly Russian Jew, a teacher Lazar Yakovlevich Berman (1830-1893) - the founder of the first Jewish schools in Mitava and St. Petersburg; palestinofil's niece V.L. Berman . Brother - economist Vladimir Savelyevich Voitinsky . Nephew (son of Joseph's elder brother, 1884-1943) - writer Vladimir Bogomolov .
She studied painting in St. Petersburg, at the Drawing School at the Society for the Encouragement of the Arts, attended private lessons of M. D. Bernshtein .
In 1905-1908 she was engaged in lithography and painting in Germany, France, Italy and Switzerland. It was close to the group of artists " World of Art ".
From 1912 to 1916 she studied at the historical and philological department of the Higher Women's Courses in St. Petersburg (Bestuzhev Courses), she did not finish her studies.

In 1914 she married Lev Ionovich Levidov (1880-1942), an assistant to the attorney. L. I. Levidov was a member of the Petrograd Regional Committee of the All-Russian Union of Cities and secretary of the Jewish Theater Society, established in 1916 [1] . In a marriage, a daughter was born Ada Lvovna Levidova (1914-2012) [2] .
In 1924 she graduated from the Institute of Art History , later collaborated in it.
On the night of February 23, 1938 she was arrested on suspicion of belonging to a terrorist organization, she was charged with leadership. Sixteen months later she was released from prison “for the lack of evidence of the accusation”.
During the years of World War II, she and her family remained in besieged Leningrad. She lived on Kirovsky (Kamennoostrovsky) Avenue , on the night of November 17, 1943 a shell hit their apartment. The husband died on the way to the evacuation [1] .
After the war, she taught foreign languages in higher educational institutions, headed the department of foreign languages.
