Geography, description
The lake has a regular oval shape measuring 150 by 60 meters. The mirror of the lake is located at an altitude of 2605 meters above sea level. The depth of the lake is unknown, at least the divers with modern equipment could not reach its bottom [3] . The landmark of the lake is a floating island of circular shape with a diameter of about 25 meters. He slowly travels along the long axis of the lake: in the summer the island is located on one side, in the winter - on the other. Power rain and glacial, flowing and flowing rivers there. The name of the lake was named after a sage named Prashar, who lived on the shore for a long time. On the shore of the lake stands a pagoda, built in the XIII century.
According to local beliefs, the lake was formed when one of the gods, who stopped here to rest, poked his hand straight down to the ground by the elbow. And the floating island on it is the concentration point that sage Prashar created for meditation [3] . Nowadays, the lake is popular with pilgrims: when they come to its shore, they throw coins into the water. Access for tourists, for whom several houses are built in the district, to the lake is carried out from April to November, in winter the lake usually freezes.
