During the Swedish invasion ( 1655 ), Vladislav Vilchkovsky commanded the hussar banners of the governor of Sandomierz Vladislav Myshkovsky (220 horsemen). In 1656, he took part in the winter campaign of Stephen Charnetsky , participated in the Battle of Varca.

During the Russo-Polish War (1654-1667), Vladislav Vilchkovsky commanded the hussar banners in the Polish military campaign in Ukraine in 1660 (the battles of Lubar, Chudnov and Slobodisch). He commanded the hussar banners of the governor of Krakow Alexander Mikhail Lubomirsky . On September 26, 1660, he led the persecution of the retreating army of Vasily Sheremetev and Timofei Tsetsura. In the vicinity of Lyubar, the hussars of Vilchkovsky and Vizhitsky (about 140 horsemen) attacked the rearguard of the Russian-Cossack army (700 Russian cuirassiers and 2,500 Cossack infantry), partially defeating and dispersing the enemy. Samuel Leshchinsky , describing the campaign in Ukraine, wrote: “ Vilchkovsky earned immortal fame ” [1] .

In 1672, Vladislav Vilchkovsky became famous for his victory over the Tatars in the battle of Krasnobrod , where he attacked superior enemy forces with two hussar banners and recaptured his loot.

In 1683, Vladislav Vilchkovsky was the commander of the hussar banners Stanislav Heraclius of Lubomirsky [2] and participated in the Vienna battle against the Ottoman Turks.

The Polish king Jan III Sobieski wrote about the sudden death of Lieutenant V. Vilchkovsky in his "letters to Marysenka" [3] .
