Biography
Kiz was born in Murisville, Alabama to the family of General George and Nellie Kiz. He was taught by private teachers, and he also attended the University of North Alabama and the University of Virginia , after which he moved to Lexington, Kentucky to study law. Kiz had a daughter, Mary, from marriage to Miss Whitfield.
Kiz was a Methodist and Democrat . In 1844 he moved to Tallahassee, Florida , where he continued to study law, and then, in 1851, went to Montgomery, Alabama . In 1853, he became chancellor of the Southern Division of Alabama.
During the Civil War, he served in the Ministry of Justice of the CSA , as an assistant to the chief prosecutor, chief prosecutor and. about. Attorney General. After the war, he practiced law in the city of Florence, Alabama . Almost nothing is known about his life in the postwar years. He died in the city of Florence.
