Vladimir Sergeyevich Grigoriev ( October 14, 1910 , the city of Lugansk in the Yekaterinoslav province, now Lugansk region - March 28, 1986 , Kiev ) - Soviet figure, specialist in the field of construction, Minister of Construction Materials Industry of the Ukrainian SSR. Member of the Supreme Council of the Ukrainian SSR 4th convocation. A candidate member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine in 1952-1956. Candidate of technical sciences (1951), doctor of technical sciences (1966), professor (1967), corresponding member of the Academy of Architecture of the Ukrainian SSR (1950).

Biography

Born October 1 (14), 1910 in the family of a railway worker.

He began his career in 1922 as a messenger of the Donetsk provincial land administration in the city of Bakhmut. In 1924, he moved with his family to the city of Lugansk, where in 1927 he graduated from a seven-year railway school.

In 1927 - 1930 - student of the Lugansk College of Railway Engineering, received the specialty of a construction technician.

In 1930 - 1931, he was a technician at the 4th construction district of the Yekaterinoslav Railway, a technician at the construction of the Lugansk Locomotive Plant.

Since 1931 he studied at the evening department of the Kharkov Civil Engineering Institute . At the same time he worked as a technician at the 6th State Construction Trust (subsequently reorganized into Trust No. 19) of the People's Commissariat of Heavy Industry of the USSR in Kharkov.

In 1936 he graduated from the Kharkov Civil Engineering Institute.

In 1936 - 1939, he was a technician, engineer of the machine-building trust No. 19 in Kharkov. In 1939 - 1941, he was a senior high-speed construction engineer at the Central Research Laboratory of Building Trust No. 19 in Kharkov.

Member of the CPSU (b) since 1940 .

In 1941 - 1944 - chief engineer of the Union Central Scientific Research Laboratory "Yuzhstroy TsNIL" of the People's Commissariat for the Construction of the USSR in Kharkov (from 1941 - in Magnitogorsk, RSFSR).

In 1944 - 1948 - deputy director for scientific work of the Southern Research Institute of the Construction Industry. In 1948 - 1952 - Director of the Southern Research Institute of the Construction Industry in Kharkov.

May 6, 1952 - 1956 - Minister of the building materials industry of the Ukrainian SSR.

In 1956 - 1973 - Director of the Research Institute of Building Materials and Products in Kiev.

In 1973 - 1986 - professor at the Kiev Institute of Construction and Architecture .

The main works on the technology of production of building materials, mainly from metallurgical slag. He developed the theoretical foundations for the preparation of slag raw materials, the cooling of a fire-resistant melt, the regulation of the porous structure of the semi-finished product; a fundamentally new technological process for processing fire-hazardous slag into high-quality porous aggregates of light concrete - hydro-screen method; identified means of improving the quality of the binder based on blast furnace slag.

He was buried in Kiev.
