Ogma's bronze figure at the Library of Congress in Washington
Ogma is the Irish embodiment of the Gallic Ogmios . Ogma was credited with the creation of pagan writing that arose in the 4th century A.D. e. and called ogam . Secondly, the characterization of him as a connecting god is confirmed in the plot “Abductions of the bull from Kualnge” , when Kuhulin (the main Irish hero), wanting to delay the enemy army, twisted a tree in a knot and inscribed ogamic symbols on it. Finally, from the “Second Battle of Mag-Tuired” it is known about the death of Ogma at the hands of the Fomorian demons.
