Weightlifting competitions among men in the under 94 kg category at the 2016 Summer Olympics were held on August 13 in Pavilion 2 of the Riosentro complex. At the competition, 20 athletes from 17 countries were declared, but two representatives of Poland - the brothers Tomasz and Adrian Zielinsky - were disqualified and not allowed to compete, as their doping tests of the athletes gave a positive result for nandrolone [1] .

The champion of the competition was the Iranian athlete Sohrab Moradi . Kazakh weightlifter Ilya Ilyin , who won at the previous Games, did not speak out for disqualification for violating anti-doping rules, and soon his victory in London was completely canceled [2] .
