Arkhipov, Fedor Mikhailovich

Fedor Mikhailovich Arkhipov ( May 2, 1951 , Kez ) - Soviet and Russian athletics coach , specialist in cross-country and long-distance running . He has been carrying out coaching activities since 1975, worked as a trainer in Kamensk-Uralsky in the local athletics section "Metalist" and as a trainer-teacher at the Specialized Children and Youth Sports School of the Olympic Reserve. Biography

Fedor Arkhipov was born on May 2, 1951 in the village of Kez, Udmurt Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic , however, as a child, he moved with his parents for permanent residence in the city of Kamensk-Uralsky, Sverdlovsk Region . He enrolled in the athletics section at the age of fifteen, was trained by Alexander Afanasyevich Bykov. He won several times and was among the winners in regional championships in hurdling and cross-country race. At the end of the school, he got a job as a mechanic at the Kamensk-Uralsky Metallurgical Plant , but did not work here for long - at the request he went to serve in the Armed Forces of the USSR .

He served in the air defense sports company in Sverdlovsk , and at the same time continued to train at the sports club at the Ural Heavy Engineering Plant under the guidance of coach Igor Vasilievich Shuvalov. He regularly took part in various army competitions, at the USSR Supreme Championship in cross-country, he was among the ten strongest among the soldiers of the first year of service, and at the junior championship of the USSR Armed Forces was a medalist in the 15 km race.

Demobilized, I tried to enter the Sverdlovsk State Pedagogical Institute , but could not do this because of too much competition. Instead, he entered the Chelyabinsk State Institute of Physical Culture , where he studied in the period 1971-1975. He was a member of the institute athletics team led by trainer-teacher Dmitry Kharisovich Gaziev. He set the institute’s record in 3000 meters hurdles, repeatedly fell into the number of medalists in long-distance races at the championships of the Russian Council of the voluntary sports society " Petrel " among higher educational institutions, fulfilled the standard for a candidate for master of sports.

Having received a diploma of higher education, he returned to Kamensk-Uralsky and became a coach in the athletics section at the city stadium "Metalist". In 1985, he transferred to the work of a trainer and teacher at the local Specialized Children and Youth School of the Olympic Reserve. Over the years of coaching, he trained many athletes-sportsmen, many of his students achieved great success at the all-Union and all-Russian levels. In particular, his student Alexandra Pospelova became the bronze medalist of the 1979 USSR championship in the 4 × 800m relay program, Marina Doroshchenko was among the medalists in the youth championship of the RSFSR, Svetlana Serebrennikova is a multiple medalist of the Russian cross-country championship, Dmitry Sudarsky won the 1989 USSR championship 3000 meters hurdles. One of his most famous students is Lyudmila Biktasheva , an international class master of sports, a bronze medalist at the European Championships, and a finalist in the 10,000-meter summer Olympic Games in Sydney .

In 2003, Fedor Arkhipov was awarded the honorary title “ Honored Coach of Russia ” for his great contribution to the preparation of outstanding athletes. He was awarded the honorary badge " For Merits in the Development of Physical Culture and Sports " [1] .
