Career start

Jack Harrison, a native of Stoke-on-Trent , grew up in Bolton and has been at the Manchester United academy system for 7 years. At the age of 14, he moved with his family to the United States [1] .

In 2015, Harrison played for the student team at Wake Forest University [2] .

New York City

In December 2015, the New York City club tried to sign Harrison bypassing the draft as a homegrown player , since three years before that he had been advocating for the Manhattan Sokker Club youth team affiliated with City [3] . However, MLS rejected this initiative and Harrison became the youngest player available at the MLS Super Draft 2016. On January 24, 2016, Jack was selected under the general 1st draft number by the Chicago Fire club, but was immediately traded to New York City for general 4th draft pick and distribution facilities [4] . A little later Harrison was injured, which forced him to miss the first three months of the season [5] . Harrison's professional debut took place on May 21, 2016 when he replaced Thomas McNamara in the 57th minute of the home game with the New York Red Bulls , which ended in a crushing defeat for the hosts with a score of 0: 7 [6] . Harrison scored his first goal in his professional career on June 2, 2016, hitting Real Salt Lake goal at the Yankee Stadium [7] . According to the results of the 2016 season, he was in the final three nominees for the prize for the newcomer of the year in MLS, and by the results of the vote lost to Jordan Morris and Keegan Rosenberry [8] .

Manchester City

On January 30, 2018, Harrison moved to English Manchester City , signing a contract with the club for three and a half years. On the same day, he was leased to the Middlesbrough club until the end of the 2017/2018 season [9] . He made his debut with Boro on February 17 in an away match against Cardiff City (0: 1), replacing Johnny Howson [10] .

International Career

On October 1, 2017, he was first called up to the England youth team [11] . He made his debut on October 6 in a home match against Scotland (3: 1), replacing Tammy Abraham. [12]
