Biography

In 1903 he graduated from the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture , then, in 1908 - the Higher Art School in St. Petersburg .

After graduating from IAH, he was sent abroad to Germany to continue his studies, where he began work in the cinema . Visited Italy and France.

He collaborated mainly at German film studios . He participated in the creation of the film "Branded" (1921, directed by K. T. Dreyer ) and others.

Since 1925 he worked in the USSR film industry with such directors as Boris Barnet , Sergey Yutkevich , Ivan Pyryev , Abram Rome , Nikolai Shengelaya , Stepan Kevorkov and others.

  1. ↑ "Aliens" by Victor Aden on a pre-revolutionary postcard. Victor Aden's painting “Aliens”, 1908, once adorned the walls of the Museum of the Imperial Academy of Arts in metropolitan Petersburg. Postcards with reproductions of this famous painting were published in mass editions and were widely known before the revolution throughout the Russian Empire. Nowadays, the famous “Aliens” by Viktor Bogdanovich Aden (1880-1942) adorn the unique collection of the Berdyansk Art Museum named after I. Brodsky.
