Henry Ilyich Litinsky ( March 4, 1901 , Lipovets (now Vinnytsia region ) - July 26, 1985 , Moscow ) - Soviet composer and teacher. Professor. Honored Artist of the RSFSR and the Chuvash Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. People's Artist of the Yakut Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic and the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. Laureate of the Glinka RSFSR State Prize.

Born March 4, 1901 in Lipovets . In 1928 he graduated with a gold medal from the Moscow Conservatory in the composition class of N. R. Glier [ specify ] .
In 1928 - 1945 he worked mainly in chamber-instrumental genres.
Together with M. N. Zhirkov, he wrote the first Yakut musical stage works: the epic opera Nyurgun Bootur and the ballet fairy tale The Wild Flower. Later he created an original musical style, which embodies the features of the Yakut song without direct folklore borrowings.
He died on July 26, 1985 in Moscow .
