The Kola Forced Labor Camp ( Kola ITL and Special Construction 33 , also known as Collag ) is a subdivision of the USSR system of correctional labor institutions in the city of Murmansk . The first prison camp in the Murmansk region , which laid the foundation for the history of the Office of the Federal Penitentiary Service in the Murmansk region [1] .
The largest number of prisoners is 7679 people.

Content
History
It was organized on October 3, 1939 pursuant to the decree of the Council of People 's Commissars of the USSR of July 20, 1939, as the Office of the Kola ITL and Special Construction 33 and the OPKK UNKVD in the Murmansk Region. Initially subordinate to the Gulag , from January 4, it was reassigned to the GUZhDS of the NKVD . On June 15, 1940, it was reorganized into the Unified Directorate of the Kola ITL and the colonies of the UNKVD in the Murmansk Region.
The camp carried out special railway construction "in the area of the Kola Peninsula , Cape Verde and Vaenga Bay ." Since January 1, 1940 he was engaged in the construction of facilities No. 41 and 65 in the Murmansk region.
February 7, 1941 was closed and transferred to the jurisdiction of the Construction 106 and ITL on the rights of the construction department. OPTK was transferred to the UNKVD in the Murmansk region.
