Almir Velajic (born August 22, 1981 , Livno , CP Bosnia and Herzegovina , Yugoslavia ) is a German weightlifter of Bosnian origin, performing in the weight category over 105 kg. Participant of three Olympic Games ( 2008 , 2012 , 2016 ), prize-winner of the European championships, three-time champion of Germany.

Biography
Almir Velajic was born on August 22, 1981 in Livno, Yugoslavia. Weightlifting began in 1992 at the club “AC Kaufbeuren”. Since 2009, in favor of the club "AV 03 Speyer" .
In 2000, he became a German citizen and began to play for the national team of the country. Champion of Germany 2005, 2006 and 2007 in the weight category over 105 kg.
