Morissa Tancharoen Whedon ( born Maurissa Tancharoen Whedon ; born November 28, 1975) is an American producer / screenwriter, actress, singer, dancer and lyricist.

Career
Tancharoen wrote her first screenplay in 2001, which she sold to Revolution Studios. It was a nameless pitch scenario in which two Asian-American FBI agents investigate a gang in Southern Los Angeles , working undercover as clerks at a Korean grocery store. [3] She worked as an assistant producer for Mark Tinker at NYPD and as an assistant to William M. Finklestein in South Brooklyn , and she also worked as co-executive producer for DanceLife. [2]
As a screenwriter and story editor, Tancharoen worked on “ Agents of Sch.I.T.a” , Starz TV series “ Spartak: Gods of the Arena ”, “ Beautiful to Death ”, “ Doll's House ” [4] and short- term sitcom “Oliver Bean ". [2] She also worked on Spartak: Revenge . [5]
In addition to writing scripts, Tancharoen also played a small role in Kilo in “The Doll House”, and is also one of the authors and performer of the song “Remains” with Jed Whedon for the episode “The Doll House” “ Epitaph First ”. She is one of the screenwriters of the Doctor Horrible Music Blog , and in this film she played groups . [6] She appeared as a singer in the 2011 adaptation of “Much Ado About Nothing” by Joss Whedon, [7] was Zelda's singing voice in the episode “The Musical” of the second season of “Neal Legends”. [8]
Tancharoen worked with Jed Whedon and Joss Whedon on “The Avengers, ” [9] [10] and currently works as a showrunner and executive producer of “ Agents of Sch.I.T.a.” [eleven]
Personal life
Tancharoen said her last name is of Thai origin. [12] She attended Occidental College, where she wrote two plays that won the Argonaut & Moore Literary Award. [3] Her father, Tommy Tancharoen, is the transport coordinator for Hollywood films. Her brother, Kevin Tancharoen , is the director whose debut film is Glory (2009). On April 19, 2009, she married screenwriting partner Jed Whedon , brother of Joss Whedon . [13] Their first child, daughter Benny Sue Whedon, [14] was born in June 2015.
In the early years, Tancharoen was a member of the pretty in pink girl group. The group broke up before it was successful, and soon after, Tancharoen was diagnosed with lupus and she needed chemotherapy . [fifteen]

In 2009, Tancharoen won the Streamy Award for Best Screenplay for the Comedy Web Series for Doctor Horrible Music Blog .
