Ernest Lawrence Award

Ernest Orlando Lawrence Award - Award given by the US Department of Energy for achievements in the fields of natural sciences, computer science, and national security. Named after Nobel Prize winner Ernest Orlando Lawrence . The prize includes a certificate, a gold medal and 20 thousand dollars. It is handed over to the US scientists, who are in the middle of their career, once every 1-3 years since 1960. The prize awarded to 15 Nobel Prize winners.
