Content

History

According to the Historical and Geographical Dictionary of the Saratov Province, compiled in 1898-1902, Rybinka, also Rybinskoye, Rybnoye, is the village of Salamatinsky volost of the Kamyshin district of the Saratov province . Residents - state peasants , Little Russians and Great Russians, Orthodox and Molokans . Land allotment - 12 228 acres of land. According to legend, it was first inhabited by Volga Cossacks in the second half of the 18th century . The name is assigned by the name of one of the first settlers. At the end of the XVIII century (probably after the eviction of the Volga Cossacks in the Caucasus) it was settled by peasants from the Kursk , Tambov , Penza , Oryol , Ryazan provinces, Little Russians from the Land of the Don Don and subsequently from the settlement of Olkhovka. In 1815, the Kazan Church was built. In 1886, a rural school was opened. In 1898 a new school was built [2] .

Since 1928 - the administrative center of the Rybinsk Village Council of the Olkhov District of the Kamyshin District (the district was abolished in 1930) of the Lower Volga Region (since 1934 - the Stalingrad Region [3] , since 1936 - the Stalingrad Region, since 1961 - the Volgograd Region) [4] .

General physical and geographical characteristics

The village is located in the steppe, within the Volga Upland , which is part of the East European Plain , on the right bank of the Ilovlya River , with the Yankin beam, at an altitude of about 90 meters above sea level. The floodplain forest has been preserved in the Ilovli floodplain [5] . The soils are dark chestnut [6] .

There is an entrance to the village from the regional highway Ilovlya - Kamyshin . By road, the distance to the regional center of Volgograd is 160 km, to the regional center of the village of Olkhovka - 34 km [7] .

Climate

The climate is temperate continental (according to the Köppen - Dfa climate classification ). The long-term rainfall is 401 mm. Most precipitation falls in July - 47 mm, the least in March - 22 mm. The average annual temperature is positive and amounts to + 7.1 ° С, the average temperature of the coldest month of January is −9.2 ° С, the hottest month of July +22.9 ° С [8] .
