Biography
Tom Barman was born on January 1, 1972 in Antwerp , in Belgium . After high school, he enrolled at the Brussels Institute of Cinematography and Sint Lukas studied the specialty of film director. Without completing his studies, he began to study music. In 1989, Barman created the band dEUS , with which he took part in the music competition "Humo's Rock Rally" and reached the finals, not reaching the title of winner. Despite this, participation in this competition gave dEUS a start for further development. Since 1992, the band released 11 albums. In addition, they were accompanied by success in tours in Europe and America .

Despite the fact that Tom Barman did not finish his studies, he has directed music videos for dEUS , Arno and Axelle Red . In 1996, he directed his first short film, Turnpike. The Turnpike lasts five minutes and was filmed in Paris. Barman was the author of Theme from Turnpike. There are no dialogs in this film. After the end of the dEUS tour, “The Ideal Crash,” Barman was finally able to start realizing his old dream - working on a feature film. Musical projects
In 2003, he released an album with Guy Van Nueten, with his own songs, as well as cover versions of songs by artists such as David Bowie , Nick Drake and Joni Mitchell .
