Biography
Born on January 10, 1950, Novoselitsa (now Sniatynsky District , Ivano-Frankivsk Region , Ukraine ). He passed the way from a photojournalist of a district newspaper to a famous Ukrainian photo artist. In 1974 he graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of Leningrad State University named after I.Ya. Franko . He worked in the district newspapers Sniatyn , in the Ivano-Frankivsk newspapers. After moving to Lviv, he worked in the newspaper "Lviv Railwayman", fruitfully cooperated with regional, republican and then all-Union journals. Soon he moved to the position of the correspondent of the magazine "Ukraine" in Lviv and his English-language publication "Uggaine" (1973-1989). Since 1990 - chief editor of the magazine "Light and Shadow" (restored edition of the Ukrainian photo magazine 1933-1939 years). President of the private publishing company "Light and Shadow." Professor (2015). Artist of the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP) (2007), President of the publishing company "Light and Shadow", Editor-in-Chief of the magazine "Light and Shadow" A. F. U. USA), Professor of Lviv National Academy of Arts.
He died suddenly on November 18, 2017 near the city of Rivne. He was buried at the Lychakiv cemetery in Lviv.
