Tepikinskaya is a village in the Uryupinsky district of the Volgograd region of Russia, as part of the Akchernsky rural settlement . Located on the left bank of the Khopyor River , near the mouth of the Akchernya River.

Content
History
It was founded in the 17th century [2] . The Tepikinsky town is mentioned in the military book of 1672 . Initially, the village was located on the right bank of Khopra (now this place is called Parent's meadow). Subsequently, due to the spills of Khopra, the village was moved upstream. In 1802, the church of Archangel Michael was built [3] .
In 1859, in the village of Tepikinskaya there were 246 courtyards, an Orthodox church, a parish school, a fair, 639 male souls and 857 female souls lived [4] . In 1897, 16 villages were included in the stanitsa yurt, the total population of the yurt exceeded 7000 people [5] . According to the alphabetical list of the populated areas of the Donskoy Voivodeship Region in 1915 in the village of Tepikinskaya there was a village and farm administration, a church, a parish school, a church and parish women's school, the land allotment of the village was 6875 acres, there were 264 yards in which 814 men and 815 women lived [ 6] .
During the Civil War, the village repeatedly passed into the hands of the whites , then into the hands of the reds [3] .
In 1921, the village was included in the Tsaritsyn province . Since 1928 - as part of the Uryupinsky district of the Khopyorsky district (abolished in 1930) of the Lower Volga region (since 1934 - the Stalingrad region [7] , since 1936 the Stalingrad region [8] , since 1961 - the Volgograd region) [9] .
In 1930, the collective farm "Memory of Ilyich" was organized. In the same year the church was closed [3] .
During the Great Patriotic War, more than seventy residents went to the front, 32 residents did not return [3]
In 1953, the Tepikinsky Village Council was abolished [9] . In 1954, the collective farm “Memory of Ilyich” was combined with the collective farm “Budenovets” and “Komsomolets”, and the new collective farm was called “Russia”. After the unification, the Tepikino collective farm became the fourth brigade of the new economy [3] .
The village of Tepikinskaya, Uryupinsky district, Volgograd region, by resolution of the Board of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation dated February 19, 1990 No. 12 and the Presidium of the Central Council of VOOPiK dated February 16, 1990, No. 12/26 was included in the list of historically settlements of republican significance [10] .
Geography
The village is located in a forest-steppe , on the left bank of the Khopyer River , near the mouth of the Akchernya River , within the Khopersko-Buzuluk Plain , which is the southern end of the Oksko-Don Lowland . The center of the village is located at an altitude of about 80 meters above sea level. In the area of the village, islands of forest were preserved [11] . The soils are ordinary chernozems ; in the Khopra floodplain, floodplain neutral and slightly acidic [12] .
The paved highway is connected with the village Dyakonovsky 1 (5.9 km) located east of the farm [11] . By road, the distance to the regional center of Uryupinsk is 25 km, to the regional center of Volgograd - 360 km [13] .

The climate is temperate continental (according to the Köppen climate classification - Dfb ). The long-term rainfall is 478 mm. During the city, the amount of precipitation is distributed relatively evenly: the largest amount of precipitation falls in June - 51 mm, the smallest in February - 27 mm. The average annual temperature is + 6.9 ° С, the average temperature of the coldest month of January is –9.0 ° С, the hottest month of July +21.5 ° С [14] .
