The military rank of the Bolivian Armed Forces determines the position (rights, duties) of the Bolivian military ground forces in relation to other military forces. The military rank is given to citizens as recognition of their merits, special distinctions, and professional qualifications.

The Bolivian armed forces are of four types: army, navy, air force and national police. Each type of force has a similar military ranking structure: non-commissioned officers, senior non-commissioned officers, officers and generals (admirals).

- School sergeants (non-commissioned officers) in the capital of Bolivia, Sucre ;
- Bolivian Military College in the city of La Paz .
