The appearance of the character throughout the films remained unchanged, although during the work on each part minor changes were made to the make-up. The hero wears a striped red-green sweater (with dark red sleeves in the first part and red-green ones starting from the second) [85] , a brown felt hat with wide brim , loose dark pants (which were brownish in the original picture), and also boots that workers of the working class usually wear at their workplaces. Craven dressed the character in a red-green sweater, bought at a sale, because he once believed that the combination of these colors was perceived by the eye worse [82] [87] . On the hand there is a branded homemade glove with blades attached along the fingers. His skin was burned almost over his whole body - its surface is scars and scars, respectively, there is no hair on his head or body. In the movie “Freddy's Revenge” in the pool scene, Kruger is shown without a glove, and the blades stick out right from his fingers. With the development of the series and the character, the authors wanted to show that the character has a keen sense of “black humor,” and to emphasize this, they periodically dressed him in a variety of costumes - a waiter at a dinner party or a superhero with a cloak in a dream of a young man, a fan of comics. In addition, Krueger often changed his form, turning into a puppet or a puppet master, a giant snake-like worm, a video game character, or a monstrous centipede smoking marijuana [85] .

For the film “New Nightmare”, the make-up was again changed, and some elements were added to the character’s wardrobe [88] . The character's hat became dark green, more compatible with his sweater, the color of which also changed, becoming a little lighter [85] . Kruger began to wear tight leather pants, black boots with a high stance, a sweater appeared narrower collar, and a dark blue French coat was put on the character, and the fifth blade appeared on the glove, while she herself began to have a much more natural look imitating bones and veins on the upper side [85] . Also on the face of Kruger became less burns, thereby exposing the plexus of muscles.

Glove

According to Wes Craven, one of the main sources of inspiration for creating the glove was his cat - once the director saw how he cut the sofa upholstery with his claws [89] .

In an interview, Craven said: “One of the main goals was to create a memorable character - each successful hero has his own unique weapon - a chainsaw, machete, etc. In addition, I was looking for something that could be feared at a primitive level independently from what country the audience will be from. Among such fears is to break teeth, which I used in my first film. The other is the claws of an animal, like a saber-toothed tiger sparkling with its frightening hooks. I moved them to the human hand. In the original scenario, instead of knives, there were fishing hooks on the arm ” [90] .

В 1984 году на киноэкраны вышел первый фильм « Кошмар на улице Вязов », в котором роль Фредди Крюгера исполнил актёр Роберт Инглунд . В картине 1991 года — « Фредди мёртв. Последний кошмар » — Крюгера сыграли ещё два молодых актёра, Чейсон Ширмер (Крюгер в детстве) и Тоуб Секстон (Крюгер-подросток) [96] . В картине « Новый кошмар Уэса Крэйвена » Инглунд сыграл Фредди, а также появился без грима — в титрах картины указано, что и Инглунд, и Фредди Крюгер сыграли самих себя. Criticism

Саймон Браунд из журнала « Empire » написал: «Крюгера делает таким страшным тот факт, что он не обычный киноманьяк, а повелитель царства ночных кошмаров!» [103] . «Фредди Крюгер в исполнении Роберта Инглунда полон энергии и юмора!» — отрывок из сборника рецензий «Киногид журнала TV Guide » [104] . Сексопатология в форме садизма. Такая патология личности отнюдь не уникальна, да и редкой её назвать тоже нельзя. Сексуальные садисты были и среди педофилов (очевидно, что и герой Крэйвена имел латентную склонность к педофилии), и среди самых массовых маньяков XX века. Развитию болезни способствовали и сложные отношения с матерью, которая вряд ли могла нормально воспринимать ребёнка, зная тайну его рожденья, и глубокое презрение других детей, узнавших эту тайну. Ещё до своей демонизации Фредди Крюгер проявил все черты, характерные для психопатов указанного типа: вменяемость и осознанность совершаемого, холодный расчёт и изощрённая жестокость. И это позволяет поставить вымышленного героя по психическим особенностям в один ряд с личностями вроде Зодиака , Кемпера или Чикатило [121] .

Также некоторые критики и психологи считают, что в фильме « Кошмар на улице Вязов 2: Месть Фредди » Крюгер воплотил страх главного героя — Джесси Уолша в исполнении Марка Паттона — перед процессом каминг-аута и осознанием себя гомосексуалом [122] . Пародийное воплощение Фредди встречается также в короткометражном фильме «Кешка и Фреди», где в этом образе является учитель английского языка [134] .

Также в сериале « Папины дочки », транслируемом по телеканалу СТС , в начале 49-й серии отец семьи становится Фредди Крюгером и тоже приходит во сне [135] . В скетч-шоу « 6 кадров » во время начальной заставки один из актёров шоу Фёдор Добронравов появляется в образе Крюгера [136] . В пародийном шоу « Большая разница ТВ » в 51 выпуске была показана пародия на Фредди Крюгера [137] . В украинской версии шоу в 12-м выпуске также был спародирован Фредди.
