Pupil of the youth school SDYUSHOR-5 (Minsk). Vasily Khomutovsky began his goalkeeper career in 1994, making his debut in the team “Change” from Minsk, representing the third division of the football championship of Belarus. In 1995, Khomutovsky began to regularly change clubs: Ataka (1996-1997), BATE (1998-1999), Torpedo MAZ (2000), then transferred to the German Waldhof team, representing the second Bundesliga [1] . In 2001, Khomutovsky joined the team of the Russian championship - Dynamo , but soon ended up at Volgar-Gazprom [3] . In “Volgar” he spent only half the season, filling out the transition to “ Metalist ”, representing the championship of Ukraine (2002-2003) [4] .

The goalkeeper helped the team reach the stage of the semifinal of the German Cup, where it was stopped by Borussia .

After the “ Carl Zeiss ” took off in the third league, Khomutovsky signed a two-year contract with the “ Augsburg ” [6] . In 2010, he played for the Ukrainian Tavria , and since 2011, he has been a football player for Amkara . December 1, 2011 terminated the contract with Amkar, as the parties could not agree on a new agreement. On March 25, 2012, in the status of a free agent, he signed a contract with the Romanian Petrolul . In the seasons of 2013 and 2014, he played for Torpedo-BelAZ .

In 2015, he signed a contract with Minsk Dynamo [7] . He played 2 matches in the championship of Belarus for Minsk (he missed 3 goals) and 1 match in the Cup (he missed 1 goal).
