Lyakhov, Sergey Vladimirovich

Sergey Vladimirovich Lyakhov (born March 1, 1968 ) is a Soviet and Russian athlete. Member of the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta [1] . USSR champion 1990 [2] , Russian champion 1993-1994 in discus throwing and 1999-2000 in shot put. Silver medalist at the 1994 Goodwill Games .

Biography

Born in a family of athletes. Father - Vladimir Lyakhov , grandfather - Sergey Lyakhov [3] .

In 1994 he graduated from MoGIFK . Married, has three children.

The only athlete in the history of Russia to qualify for different Olympics in various technical types of athletics: the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta in the disc, the 2000 Olympics in Sydney in the core (from the jump).

In 2010 - European champion among masters (Nyerehazen, Hungary). In 2011 - world champion among masters (Sacramento, USA).

After the end of his sports career, he starred in several films, the most famous being the television series " Truckers " [4] .
