Nikolai Aleksandrovich Shulga (born September 29, 1943 , the village of Lysoye , Krasnodonsky district , Lugansk region ) is a Soviet and Ukrainian politician and social scientist, doctor of sociology (1993), professor (2002). Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine .

In 1969 he graduated from the History Department of Rostov State University.
Political Biography
- 1969-1970 - Executive Secretary of the Rostov branch of the All-Russian Society for the Protection of Monuments of History and Culture
- 1980-1990 - at party work in the apparatus of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine.
- 1990-1994 - People's Deputy of Ukraine of the 1st convocation . Chairman of the Commission on State Sovereignty, Inter-Republican and Interethnic Relations.
- 1994-1995 - Minister of Ukraine for Nationalities, Migration and Cults.
- from April 2002 to March 2006 - People’s Deputy of Ukraine of the 4th convocation , elected according to the lists of the Communist Party of Ukraine . First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Human Rights, National Minorities and Interethnic Relations.
Scientific career
- 1972-1975 - graduate student.
- 1975-1980 - junior researcher, senior researcher at the Department of Social Psychology, Institute of Philosophy, Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR
- Deputy Director of the Institute of Sociology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine .

- Order of Friendship ( January 19, 2004 , Russia ) - for a great contribution to strengthening friendship and cooperation between the peoples of the Russian Federation and Ukraine [1] .
