7.5 cm KwK 40

7.5 cm Kw.k. 40 ( German: 7.5 cm Kampfwagenkanone 40 ) - German tank gun during the Second World War . It was produced in two versions, differing in barrel length: the earlier one had a 43-caliber barrel (German designation L / 43 ), the later - 48 calibers ( L / 48 ). Used as the main weapon of the medium tank Sd.Kfz. 161 Panzerkampfwagen IV of modifications F2, G, H and J, variant 7.5 cm Stu.k.40 was used in self-propelled artillery installations of the class of assault guns StuG.III and StuG.IV and tank destroyers Jagdpanzer IV / 48. Equipped with an electric valve with a semi-automatic wedge lock.
