Flag of Tenerife
The flag of the island of Tenerife ( Spanish: Bandera de Tenerife ) is a blue rectangular cloth with a white oblique ( St. Andrew's ) cross. [one]
The sign, which is the flag of Tenerife, was first adopted in 1845 as the flag of the maritime province of the Canary Islands, whose capital was in Santa Cruz de Tenerife . The Royal Order was received on July 30, 1845. At that time, Santa Cruz was the only capital of the Canary Islands. The flag of Tenerife was finally adopted as the flag of the island at the request of the Canary Islands Government on May 9, 1989.
Outwardly, it is almost indistinguishable from the flag of Scotland .
