Initial Biography
Fedor Kuzmich Fetisov was born on February 19, 1902 in the village of Knyazevo of the Putivl district of the Kursk province.
Military Service
Pre-war time
In June 1924 he was drafted into the ranks of the Red Army and sent to the 9th Infantry Regiment (3rd Infantry Division, Ukrainian Military District), where he served as a Red Army soldier, division commander, assistant platoon commander and foreman.
In September 1927 he was sent to study at the All-Russian Central Executive Committee , after which he was appointed in 1930 the post of platoon commander of the 239th Infantry Regiment ( 80th Infantry Division ), in October 1931 - to the post of assistant commander, then - to the post of company commander of the 26th machine gun battalion of the 54th department of the chief of work, stationed in Korosten , in February 1935 - to the post of commander of a rifle company, and then to the post of commander of a combat support company of the 70th rifle regiment ( 24- i'm a shooter Vai Division , Leningrad Military District ).
In March 1938, Fetisov was appointed senior adjutant of the 7th Rifle Regiment, while also serving as chief of staff for junior lieutenant courses at the 19th Rifle Corps . In December of the same year, he was appointed assistant chief of the 1st division headquarters of the 33rd Rifle Corps , in November 1939 - the senior adjutant of the headquarters division of the Murmansk Army Group of Forces of the Leningrad Military District , and in January 1940 - the commander 14th Army Headquarters Guard Battalion, after which he took part in hostilities during the Soviet-Finnish War .
In September 1940 he was sent to accelerated courses at the quartermaster faculty of the V.M. Molotov Military Economic Academy , which was soon transformed into the Red Army Quartermaster's Academy .
World War II
With the outbreak of war, he continued his studies at the academy, but in October 1941 he was appointed commander of the 996th Infantry Regiment, then - as deputy commander, and in March 1942 - to the post of commander of the 286th Infantry Division . In June of that year, Fetisov was sent to study at higher academic courses at the Higher Military Academy named after K.E. Voroshilov , after which in December he was appointed to the post of commander of the 256th Infantry Division , which in January 1943 during the operation " Iskra ” participated in the fighting to break the siege of Leningrad in the Sinyavinsky and Mginsky directions.
In December 1943 he was appointed commander of the 119th Rifle Corps , who soon took part in the hostilities during the Leningrad-Novgorod offensive , as well as in the liberation of the cities of Tosno , Lyuban , Soltsy , Dno and Porkhov .
In May 1944, he was appointed commander of the 116th Rifle Corps , who soon took part in hostilities during the Tartu , Tallinn , Slavic- Elbing , East Pomeranian and Berlin offensive operations .
Post-War Career
After the war, Fetisov was in his former position.
In August 1945, he was appointed to the post of head of the commandant service department at the Office of the Soviet Military Administration of the federal state of Saxony and the province of Mecklenburg . In March 1946 he was sent to study at higher academic courses at the Higher Military Academy named after K. E. Voroshilov , after which in January 1947 he was appointed to the post of commander of the 19th Guards Rifle Division , and in February 1952 - to the post deputy commander of the 72nd Rifle Corps ( 5th Army ).
Major General Fedor Kuzmich Fetisov in March 1955 went into reserve. He died on February 6, 1966 in Moscow .
