History
Vocalist Natasha Shilova and beatmaker Anton Kremarenko met via the Internet in 2012 and recorded the song “Zimnya”, which later gave the name to the group.
In February 2013, the group released their debut 8-track album, Signals from the Hospice, which took just a few months to write and record. Despite the Russian language, the album came into the view of the authoritative French trip-hop publication trip-hop.net, where it was included in the list of the best world releases in history. In the spring of the same year, Zimne were selected for the international trip-hop festival of music Metagalaxy and became its winners.
In 2014, Zimne presented the second, long-playing album, “Flying in a dream and in sight” and the debut video clip for the single “Wormholes”. The group gave their first concert in Novosibirsk with guest musicians.
In 2015, the third album of the Set of Dreams was released, which differs from the previous ones in a darker and heavier sound, referring to the “orthodox” trip-hop .
In the summer, Zimne took part in the program of the Wild Mint Festival [2] , and in the autumn they gave a concert at the Big Novosibirsk Planetarium [3] . The group performed in an expanded composition, which, in particular, included live drums and a string trio.
In 2016, the duo released two new singles: dedicated to Cosmonautics Day “Baikonur” and a joint song with the neoclassical composer The owl “Homeland of Elephants”; after which he announced a creative pause until next year.
On November 11, 2017, Zimne presented the fourth album, “Sugarloaf,” featuring The owl, Ukrainian poet Dima Birds, Novosibirsk band Hale De Mars and singer Andrei Khrapov.
During the existence of the group, many Zimne singles participated in Russian, French and Ukrainian compilations dedicated to trip-hop music.
