Koshtugsky volost

Koshtugsky volost - volost in the Vytegorsky district of the Olonets province .

General information

The volost government was located in the village of Markovskaya (Orteva) [1] .

The volost included rural societies , including 60 villages: [2]

  • Jezerser Society
  • Koshtugov society
  • Kushtozersky society
  • Undozero Society

In 1890, the population of the volost was 3477 people [3] .

In 1905, the population of the volost was 4057 people. In the volost there were 793 horses, 1156 cows and 2740 heads of other cattle.

During the reform of the administrative-territorial division of the USSR in 1927, the volost was abolished.

Currently, the territory of the Koshtuga volost mainly refers to the Vytegorsky district of the Vologda region .
