Biography
Alexei Dyomkin was born on March 17, 1925 in the village of Gorenka, now in the Novosilsky district of the Oryol region.
In 1942 he graduated from the school of Federal Law No. 18 of the city of Magnitogorsk with a degree in pipe-laying. He was sent to work in the construction department of SU No. 3 of the Magnitostroy Trust, which is engaged in the construction of open-hearth furnaces, including blast furnace No. 5 of the Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works .
Since 1945, he worked in the construction department of SU No. 1 as a foreman of masons. The team was engaged in the construction of residential buildings and social welfare facilities in the city of Magnitogorsk. In 1953-1886 worked as a team leader of a comprehensive team of masons of SU No. 7. His team was a participant in the exhibition of the Exhibition of Economic Achievements of the USSR.
Over the years of work in Magnitogorsk, Alexei Mikhailovich Dyomkin was involved in the development and implementation of in-line construction methods, took part in the construction of coke oven batteries , rolling mills , mold shop, blast furnaces No. 5 to No. 10 of the Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Plant.
In 1986-1996 A. M. Dyomkin worked as a master of studies at vocational school No. 63 of the city of Magnitogorsk. Engaged in public work, for more than 15 years he was a deputy of the Right-Bank District and City Councils of People's Deputies of the working people of the city of Magnitogorsk.
For the great successes achieved in fulfilling the tasks of the five-year plan for the development of ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy, oil, coal, gas and light industry, heavy, energy and transport engineering, machine tool and tool industry, tractor and agricultural machinery, the automotive industry and the construction of industrial enterprises, residential houses and cultural facilities, the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR in 1971 awarded orders and medals of the USSR the largest group of workers, engineering and technical workers and employees of these industries and construction. Workers and specialists who were most distinguished in fulfilling the tasks of the five-year plan and for achieving high technical and economic indicators were awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor. Among the awarded was Alexei Mikhailovich Dyomkin [1] [2] .
Memory
In 2001, a memorial plaque was erected in memory of A. M. Demkin on the building of the construction department of SU No. 7 of the Magnitostroy trust.
