Polyacetylene - an organic substance , a polymer of acetylene . Cis and trans forms of polyacetylene are known. When the cis isomer is heated to 100-150 ° C, a transition to the trans form occurs. Depending on the production method, polyacetylene may be a black powder, a grayish porous material, silver or golden films. Insoluble in any of the known organic solvents [1] .
