Ashot Shamkhalovich Bleyan ( Armenian Աշոտ Բլեյան ; September 4, 1955 - Yerevan ) - Armenian public figure and opposition politician, one of the most active supporters of the first President of Armenia Levon Ter-Petrosian .

In the midst of the Karabakh conflict, he visited Baku. Then the visit of a prominent figure to the camp of the enemy shocked the public of the republic. Bleian believed that the Armenian-Azerbaijani confrontation was beneficial only to third forces, and the two neighboring nations were doomed to peace and cooperation by history and geography. 1962-1972 - Yerevan secondary school number 60 named. V. Teryan.
1972-1977 - Faculty of Physics, Yerevan State University .
1977-1978 - Scientific Secretary of the Faculty of Radio Physics of Yerevan State University .
1978-1985 - Deputy Director of Yerevan Secondary School No. 10.
1985–1989 - Director of Yerevan Secondary School No. 183.
1989-1999 - Director of the educational complex "Mkhitar Sebastatsi".
1990–1995 - was a deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the Armenian SSR . Member of the New Way party. In 1992, he made a visit to Baku, met with Isa Gambar , deputy Sabir Rustamkhanly , and then Defense Minister Ragim Gaziyev [2] .
1991-1992 - Vice Mayor of Yerevan .
1992-2004 - Chairman of the social and political organization "New Way".
1994-1995 - Minister of Education of Armenia .
1995-1996 - First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Armenia.
1998 - presidential candidate of Armenia .
1999-2001 - served his sentence in the Nubarashen correctional colony of high security for financial embezzlement on a particularly large scale.
2002-2004 - Chairman of the Board of the educational complex "Mkhitar Sebastatsi", at the same time taught law and pedagogy, the president of the non-governmental organization of human rights "Tanik".
2004—2006 - Coordinator of the program “Development of pre-school educational projects and application submissions” of the educational complex “Mkhitar Sebastiats”
Since 2006 - Director of the educational complex "Mkhitar Sebastatsi".
Since 2007 - the head of the school center for the retraining of teachers at the Ministry of Education and Science of Armenia.
Since 2007 - Member of the Republican Commission at the Ministry of Education and Science of Armenia.
