Biography
Marat Fuatovich Daukaev was born in 1952 in the city of Ufa, BASSR. In 1964-1969 he studied at the Leningrad Choreographic School. A. Ya. Vaganova with a break for some time due to illness of the parents.
In 1973 he graduated from the Perm Choreographic School (class of Yu. I. Plakht) [1] . While studying at the school he was nominated for a scholarship to them. V.I. Lenin.
After graduating from the school, he worked as a soloist in the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theater (BHTOiB) in Ufa, from 1974 he was a soloist at the Perm Opera and Ballet Theater , and from 1977 to 1996 he was a soloist at the Mariinsky Theater (St. Petersburg) [2] .
In 1977, a married couple Olga Chenchikova and Marat Daukaev came to work in the theater together at the invitation of the choreographer of the Leningrad Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after S. M. Kirov Oleg Vinogradov .
Marat Daukaev danced a lot and with the prima ballerina of the Bolshoi Theater Nadezhda Pavlova , was her partner at the II International Ballet Competition in Moscow that made her famous [3] .
Marat Daukaev left the stage unnoticed. After breaking up with Olga Chenchikova, he sometimes continued to dance with her, as it was difficult for her to find a partner. They had a son who died in preschool age from a heart defect when the artists had already split up. At the end of his career as a dancer, Daukaev worked as a teacher-tutor at the Mariinsky Theater (1996-1997).
In 1975, at the Perm Television Studio, he starred in the television movie Entry into the Ballet, where he performed the adagio from the ballet Sleeping Beauty with N. Pavlova. He also starred in the TV ballet Anyuta (1982, Lenfilm), playing the part of the Student, participated in the TV screen of the ballet Cinderella (1985).
In 1995, the artist was invited to teach in Los Angeles, where he met his future wife, Pamela.
Since 1997, Daukaev has been permanently living in the USA, working as a teacher in his own ballet school in Los Angeles [4] . There he starred in the series "So you know how to dance?" [5] .
In 1999 he was appointed choreographer of the Colorado Ballet at the Dance Center, Denver , Colorado. [6]
From 2007 to 2009, he served as artistic director of the Kirov Ballet Academy in Washington, and from 2010 completely devoted himself to work at his ballet school in Los Angeles.

Ballet School in the USA
The ballet school of Marat Daukayev (Marat Daukayev School of Ballet) in Los Angeles was founded in 2001 by Marat and Pamela Daukaeva. The school teaches young people on the basis of the Vaganova method, developed by the Russian dancer Agrippina Vaganova (1879-1951).
The method combines elements of the traditional French style of the romantic era with the strength and virtuosity of Italian technology. Students who study ballet there gain knowledge, self-confidence and a love of art that will benefit them throughout their lives. Currently, more than 2,000 students are studying at the school. Children with a minimum age of 3 years are accepted for training, the term of study is eight years. From 3 to 4 years of age, heterogeneous children study together, from 5 years of age - separately. Tuition is paid - from $ 25 per hour. Accept for training and adults with a flexible payment system. In each class there are 15 students, parents are allowed to peep at the classes only through the window and through the click in the doorway.
Graduates of the school continue their education at the Royal Ballet School in London, the Bolshoi Ballet Academy [7] , the Swedish Ballet School, the San Francisco School of Choreography, the Pittsburgh Ballet School, etc.
The school has a ballet theater of Marat Daukaev, in which students of his school perform [8] . Every year, at Christmas, the theater puts on the classic ballet The Nutcracker .

In 2000, M. Daukaev was awarded the title “Outstanding Worker of the Perm Ballet of the 20th Century” in the nomination “Dancer”.
In 2016, the international student dance competition Grand Prix of Youth America (Youth America Grand Prix) in the United States awarded Daukaev the title of “Outstanding Educator”.
