The commune is located about 400 km east of Paris and 45 km north of Strasbourg [3] .

Economics
In 2010, out of 344 people of working age (from 15 to 64 years old), 256 were economically active , 88 were inactive (activity indicator 74.4%, in 1999 - 68.1%). Of the 256 active able-bodied residents, 234 people worked (132 men and 102 women), 22 were unemployed (13 men and 9 women).
