FA Cup 1905/1906 ( FA Cup 1905–06 ) is the 35th draw of the oldest cup football tournament, the Football Association Cup, better known as the FA Cup . The winner was the Liverpool club “ Everton ”, having beaten in the final match of “ Newcastle United ” with a score 1: 0.

On November 18, 1905, a match of the third qualifying round between the Crystal Palace and Chelsea clubs in London was held as part of the tournament. On the same day, Chelsea played the Second Division match against Burnley . The Chelsea leadership put the main team for the league match, and reservists came out in the FA Cup. “Palace” won with a score of 7: 1. After that, the Football Association amended the rules, according to which teams were obliged to always put their main squad in the FA Cup matches [1] .
In the first round, 29 of the 40 clubs of the Football League ( First and Second Divisions) played, as well as 24 clubs that passed qualifying rounds. Also in the first round, 11 clubs of the Southern Football League received invitations:
