John Vanderkamp ( born John Vanderkamp ; born 1934 , Alten , Gelderland , the Netherlands - June 26, 1991 , Canada ) was a Dutch economist , professor of economics in 1971-1991 and dean of the faculty of sociology in 1981-1991.

Biography
John was born in 1934 in Alten , the Netherlands [1] .
Vanderkamp received a candidate’s degree (an analogue of the Bachelor of Science ) in 1957 at the Free University of Amsterdam , and in 1959 received a master ’s degree in business administration from the University of Toronto . Then, in 1959-1962, he worked as an economist in the Research Department of the Bank of Canada in Ottawa . In 1964 he was awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy at the London School of Economics and Political Science [2] .
He began teaching as an associate professor at the University of British Columbia in 1964-1971. In parallel, in 1969-1970 he was a visiting professor at the University of Essex . In 1971-1980, he served as full professor and head of the department of economics, and since 1981, dean of the faculty of sociology at the until his death in 1991. In 1989-1991 he was the director of the Academy [3] . He was a visiting associate of the Institute for Social and Economic Research at York University in 1976-1977 and a visiting professor at Hebrew University in Jerusalem in 1980 [2] .
He was a member of the editorial board of the from the and the first editor and de facto founder of from 1974-1982. He was the editor of in 1966 and in 1972, the in 1971, and the Journal of Monetary Economics in 1975 [2] .
John Vanderkamp died on June 26, 1991 at the age of 56; he still had the widow Rosemary Vanderkamp [2] .
