Alexander Klimkin, a three-time champion of Russia as a player (as part of CSKA and Lokomotiv-Belogorye), was involved in the Russian team in the 90s.

Coaching career

In clubs

After graduating from a gaming career in 2011, he remained at Nova as a coach. A few months later he was appointed head coach.

In 2015 - 2016 headed the coaching staff of VK “ Nizhny Novgorod ” [3] before its disbandment [4] .

In 2017, he was appointed head coach of the newly formed Zenit volleyball club (St. Petersburg) [5] .

In the Russian team

As a coach, he helped Vladimir Alekno at the 2012 Olympic Games in London and Andrei Voronkov in the matches of the World League 2013.

In 2015, he was the acting head coach of the Russian national team [6] .
